Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, strong coffee, dusty, light to moderate hoppy, dusty grass. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120512]

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and roasted bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of hard roasted malt and hops, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and crisp solid hoppy, peachy and grapefruity. Smooth and crisp hoppy finish. Ends dry and bitter.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a creamy beige head. Only subdued citrusy hops in the nose, the heavy roast dominates. Light body only with a very dry roastiness and a malt bitter finish. Easy going, but I would’ve loved a little more hop character throughout, I find the roast a little too dominant. 120512

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty hoppy piney aroma. Roasted malty hoppy bitter flavor with piney hints. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Draught. Refreshing grape aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted with a good refreshing hop note, fruity and clean.

Bottle from Fanø bryghus. Huge creamy tan head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt and pleasantly bitter hops. Long bitter finish.
