COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Helmet is a German-style black lager (or Schwarzbier) brewed with 10% malted rye. Chocolate and Carafa malts give this beer its dark color and ludicrously smooth, roasty flavor. May the Schwarz be with you!

Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with dark rye bread, cocoa powder, biscuits, peppermints, black pepper, liquorice root, caraway, wood, burnt brazil nuts and hints of lemon zest. Mouthfeel is fizzy, very smooth, slightly dry and light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with rye bread, cocoa powder, dry wood, black pepper, plums, biscuits and hints of cookie dough.

Pours a deep brown with a fluffy tan head. Nose and taste are sweet and malty. Not a style I am a huge fan of but a solid beer nonetheless. Fun beer to pop at a tasting for the novelty if nothin else.
