Keg at CBC Islington. It pours hazy pale yellow with a small fizzy white head. The nose is smokey, smoked ham, bacon frazzles and some underlying sweetness. The taste is light, pithy lemon, dull sourness, earth, dough, light smoke and faint metal with a dry finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Drinkable yes....but rather watery and not much to it really.

Craft Islington. Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Semi dry. Minerals. Light pale malt, trace of fresh orange citrus. Medium smoke, not too acrid. Finishes crisp and dry. Not bad.

Very excited to try this one. I’m a big fan of German beers, low alcohol beers on a wrm day, and smoked beers. This seems like a great marriage of the above. The beer is clear and pale golden with a small white head. The aroma brings some German characteristics, bread, grain, subtle smoke. Smoke character emerges more as the beer is allowed to warm. Really light and refreshing. A lot of flavor packed into such a low abv beer, though everything is chill and understated. Smoke and kolsch linger in the finish. Nicely done. I’m glad I have another to enjoy.

Keg @ CPK. Hazy gold pour with a small head. The nose is smoked ham, hints of cedar closet. Slight wheaty tang. Soft aromas. The taste is more smokey ham, mineral. A bit of hay and grassy bitterness. Smooth mineral on the palate. Light and reasonably refreshing. Overall, decent.

22oz bottle. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a white head. Aromas of smoked meats, grainy, and some citrus. Tastes of the same but on the more subtle and softer side. Very nice and drinkable for a low alcohol beer.
