COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A base of pale, Munich, and Carapils malts is just enough to contain the massive hop flavor and aroma packed into this highly drinkable IPA. A blend of four American hop varieties is added four times in the kettle and twice in the fermenter for a complex and layered hop experience. Best served at 45-50˚F in a tulip or English style pint glass.

12 ounce can thanks to Jonathan. Tropical fruit. Big hoppy aroma right out of can and in taste. Some different sweetness to the IPA. Nice and very different.

Tap at På Besök. Bright orange with a dense white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with clean esters and hardly any heavy maltiness. Flavor is fruity and has a big yet round and not so agressive hop character followed by a nicely balanced bitterness. Goes down rather easy...

Can from Community Tap, Greenville. Man, this little fucker gushed like crazy. It seeks escape from its environs? At any rate, once it settled down it proved to be a solid entry. Hazy, earthy orange pour - and with that head and all that lacing it’s hard not to be enticed. Some sharpness in the nose, quite ripe and yeasty with a bit of breadiness alongside some potent grassy (and to a lesser extent floral) hops. This was even a bit more prominent in the taste, docking the beer for me. The IPA market is crowded and, while this one was solid, it’s nothing to rave about.

12 ounce can - $2.25 at Sam’s Beer & More in Lexington, South Carolina.

Appearance: Pours out a medium copper-toned body, somewhat cloudy, and with a foamy, fairy dense, off-white head.

Smell: Pale, toasty malts with a sweet-scented caramel notes fused with aromatic hop scents of florals, resinous dried grasses, and lemon rind.

Taste: Pale malts, then I’m chewing on some toasty breadcrusts, with a bit of caramel sweetness mingled with a small touch of brown sugar. Pithy lemon rind, maybe a bit of white grapefruit, too. Sharp florals, moderate grassiness. Hint of the alcohol presence. Fairly bitter and more than enough to knock off the upfront sweetness well in time for a dry, bitter, smooth finish with some citrus juiciness holding on for the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Enjoyed it for being a good American IPA.

Tis a wonderful thing that the lowcountry of SC has a brewery of this magnitude. Juicy fruit and balanced malts here! Liquid gold on the pour. My nose will not do this justice (damn allergies)! Super drinkable hoppy brew. Watch these folks, they are an up-and-comer.
