Bottle @ home. Pours hazy burnt copper with a huge, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast, caramel, and bread malt with malt-derived fruits and earthy, spicy Noble hops. Flavor is malt dominant, light hops and bitterness, dried fruits and a dry finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation.

Keg at CP&K. It pours hazy amber with a small yellowish-white head. The nose is lemon poppy seed caked, orange, bread, caramel and faint Irn Bru. The taste is orange sponge cake, caramel, wood, light varnish and zesty citrus with a dry, somewhat citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I found it rather flavoursome and well balanced. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a red tint and a minimal beige head. Aroma is toasted malt, roasted malt, hay, bread, light estery pear, phenolic, smoke. Taste is near medium sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is average. Finishes toasted malty and hoppy. I kinda liked this one.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small, off-white head. Sweet caramellish aroma with some nice flowery hops. Medium body, caramel and slightly ashy, a sophisticated flowery touch. Quite some bittering hops. 250113

coolpop (1163) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - OCT 24, 2012
Draft. Poured amber with a medium-sized off-white, dense head. Aroma and flavor were moderately malty, a hint of fruit, smoke, and rye spice (I know, that shouldn’t make sense). Mildly bitter -- ah ha! that’s the spicy note, the German hops. Medium weight. Very drinkable, substantial flavor for an oktoberfest.

25-JAN-2012, bottle @Papsø tasting, @Yespr. Almost clear with very low head. Malty, very hoppy with fruits and spice. Finish is very bitter. Strange spicy (yeasty?) brew. Not bad, just strange.
