COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Happy birthday to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious imperial stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This is the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. Here’s to many more!

I love the colour of it and I liked how the pepper taste took a while to notice. But when it struck, it took over the whole taste.

Black medium body, a small brown foam head. The nose catchea the lot of it. Dark chocolate, vanilla, cinamon, pepper oil, some coffee, a note of burbon and maybe a hint of alcohol. The pepper taste covers the others that are balanced in an excellent way. The burning stays on the tonsils for ages. A bit high carbonation. Oh. My. God.

Flaska. En syrlig barley vine doft. Underbar smak av cacao vanilj o chili. Ligger fint i munnen o sedan kommer chilin. En trevlig glidaröl att sitta o njuta av.

Bottle (bomber) from Systembolaget. Black with beige head and some ugly brown floaters. Chocolatey and spicy aroma with some bisquity gingerbread notes. Medium bodied, the floaters disturbing slightly. Semi dry, medium bitterness, some spicy hotness lingering.

Tsekouratos (109) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - APR 4, 2014
650 ml bottle shared with calm_dreamer. Black color with a thick brown head. Aromas of coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, peppers, bourbon and some alcohol notes. Taste was pretty much the same with peppers dominating everything. Aftertaste is very long and hot, my taste buds were on fire. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

mverity (249) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2014
2013 bottle from Hop City in Atlanta. Pours a pitch black with milk chocolate head that held pretty well. Medium collar and fair lacing. Aroma is deeply roasted malt, slight spice, slight vanilla. Taste has a warmth from the habenero, very dark earthy-sweet malt, slight vanilla. Rich body and mouthfeel, low carbonation.

markextrae (680) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 29, 2014
shared bottle thanks a lot to Cunningham!! poured pitch black with a nice not to long lasting mocha tanned head. roasted malts, vanilla, dark chocolate, a lot of spiced peppers, ash, faint dark fruits. first off you got a great smooth mouthfill with sweet chocolate combined with the vanilla, but shortly after it the pepper kicks in. wich ruins the aftertaste. this could be such a awesome beer if they should use a bit less pepper. but still a great beer!

Bottled:
Eye: Black with a small head.
Nose: Chocolate, vanilla and chili.
Mouth: Dry with growing chili heat.
Tongue: Dark chocolate, ash and lots of chili.
Brain:Not exactly balanced, but quite fun. Should perhaps come in smaller bottles.

2013 bottle shared at the RBNG by Ernesto987. Can the aroma really be chocolate cake or brownie batter? Yes, yes it can be. Yum!

Thick body like cake batter. Lots dark chocolate, cinnamon, light vanilla and deep roasted notes. The chili really comes out in the finish and does have a pretty nice snap right in the end. After about 6 oz. it was real obvious it had some chili heat!

Overall I normally don’t like pepper in my beer but this is the exception. The heavy chocolate and deep roast is balanced by the peppers. Really nice.
