4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Martinus (1777) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2013
Clear black colour, firm tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, tar, ash, brown sugar with a cinnamon note. Smoky flavour, ash, coffee, roasted malts, liquorice and light chili. Finish coffee, caramel and light chili.
Nice beer, chili heat not too pronounced - for me personally it might’ve been a bit more pronounced, but it is more ’friendly’ and layered this way.
