4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber courtesy of Homer321 pours with a deep dark body that supports a dark mocha colored head. The aroma pulses with chocolate, sweet malts, more chocolate, some dates, fruity chili pepper meat, some cinnamon and a dash of fruit cake. The taste starts with a pleasing and rich load of chocolate goodness and then it rolls into cinnamon spices, yum. To midway a nice full chili pepper note shines through the chocolate and leads to a modest chili pepper burn and warming. The delicious chocolate runs from front to back and delivers rich happiness all along the way. Love it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle, again huge thanks to Doug for the share! Velvety black pour, small, thin light brown head. Nose and flavor are stunning, with cinnamon and cacao coming through up front along with bright, showy espresso character and bitter chocolate folding inward. Later in the flavor the touches of peppery heat hit, but they are stunningly balanced by waves of vanilla, almond and chocolate ganache. Absolutely reminiscent of regular Abraxas and Bomb. Stellar.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I have been looking forward to this one for a long time and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Black pour with a brown head. The aroma is just amazing. I get some big chocolate and cinnamon notes that really stand out and make this stout unique. The flavor is just as good if not better. The chocolate and cinnamon notes are once again present, as is a big splash of vanilla. The best part of the beer might be the peppers, which add not only a bit to the flavor, but also a nice amount of heat that complements the other flavors, rather than overwhelming them like a lot of the crappy pepper beers do. I love mole chicken and a lot of the notes I get in that dish are present in this beer, which is simply outstanding. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Definitely one of my top beers of 2014 and one I hope I get to try again in the future.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bomber. This is spicy thick awesome sauce. I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on it and was happy to find it on a bottle list at a local watering hole.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Oily black pour. Smell is chocolate, chile, cocoa. Taste is tart, dark chocolate, roasted malt with some definite heat in the finish. Full body. Somewhat quick finish that falls off and oddly tart. Good, but not nearly as balanced or tasty as bomb or bible belt.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
bomber from trade. Chugged this bitch straight from the bottle in under 2 minutes. Hot, hot heat. Very much like prairie bomb but less boozy and more spicy pepper heat. Very nice. Doughy. Sweet. Buzzed quick.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2014 bomber in trade from Homer321. Thanks buddy! Pours pitch black and viscous with a super creamy one finger mocha head that sticks around a good bit. Aroma of chocolate and roast with light spices and a definite cinnamon note. Flavor is big chocolate notes, more roast than others in the style, with beautiful use of cinnamon and vanilla. Chili pepper heat is subtle just like it should be. Nice heavy mouthfeel but not near syrupy, with medium to lower carbonation (right on for the style). Man this is good. Better than Bomb, not as good as Hunahpu 2014, and maybe better than Abraxas. Now to get my hands on the Apple Brandy version!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a black color with khaki head. Smells of roasted malt, peppers, chocolate and light cinnamon. Big roasted malt and bitter chocolate taste with slight cinnamon that transitions to a tingling heat on the back. Excellent beer. On par with prairie bomb! But not as flavor intense as Hunahpu was
