COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Happy birthday to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious imperial stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This is the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. Here’s to many more!

2014 bomber in trade from Homer321. Thanks buddy! Pours pitch black and viscous with a super creamy one finger mocha head that sticks around a good bit. Aroma of chocolate and roast with light spices and a definite cinnamon note. Flavor is big chocolate notes, more roast than others in the style, with beautiful use of cinnamon and vanilla. Chili pepper heat is subtle just like it should be. Nice heavy mouthfeel but not near syrupy, with medium to lower carbonation (right on for the style). Man this is good. Better than Bomb, not as good as Hunahpu 2014, and maybe better than Abraxas. Now to get my hands on the Apple Brandy version!

Leveejr (101) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Pours a black color with khaki head. Smells of roasted malt, peppers, chocolate and light cinnamon. Big roasted malt and bitter chocolate taste with slight cinnamon that transitions to a tingling heat on the back. Excellent beer. On par with prairie bomb! But not as flavor intense as Hunahpu was ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle. Dark brown color, medium tan head. Great roasted malt aroma. Full bodied with a nice roasted malt flavor with an amazing flavor transition leading to a great finish.

Salmoniform (567) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Poured from bottle to teku. Dark hue with fizzy brown head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is malt, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper spice. Mouthfeel is nice with medium body and fizzy carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a nice astringent following and a spicy ethanol finish. Overall this is amazing!

Smells like a chocolate bar. The spicy kick masks the alcohol flavor. Smooth drinking delicious brown foam. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

jbruner (2298) - Athens, Georgia, USA - JUL 1, 2014
Pours an opaque motor oil black with bubbly brown head that lasts but leaves little lace. Aroma is big on the chocolate and booze with hints of molasses, vanilla, and spice. Taste is well balanced, toasty dark chocolate, booze, hint of spice, oak, hint of cinnamon, nice. Thick and viscous, burns on the way down, good carbonation. Wow, very nice, no hunahpu, but still awesome.

bomber from trade with stevbeergeek. WHOA! perfect 5 on app. almost perfect on aroma, and palate. Aroma of cinnamon immediately, plus chocolate, roast, malts and other good things. Taste was wow! not sure the cinnamon is needed in the taste but as a stout without tricks it is outstanding!! you taste the pepper but not distracting, just some heat. WOW!! Thanks for the trade Steven; I greatly enjoyed this one. would love the stout version without the tricks - almost perfection.

(bottle - 22 oz) Dark black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is a big and really nice mixture of chocolate, dark chocolate, cinnamon and peppery spice. Flavor is an interesting mix of dark chocolate, sugary sweetness, habanero spice and spicy cinnamon. Nine times out of ten, this may not work, but it worked extremely well. Almost had a spicy hot fudge taste to it. Big fan.
