COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Happy birthday to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious imperial stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This is the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. Hereís to many more!

Pour is pitch black, maybe the darkest beer Iíve ever seen, with a fluffy brown head. Lots of chocolate and roasted malt notes on the nose, hints of cinnamon, some dark fruits, a little bit of spice, and vanilla and caramel. Wow, amazing taste and it comes with a little burn too. Smooth velvety chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, some caramel, and very subtle chili taste. Full bodied beer, supremely balanced, and with a nice burn going down from the peppers. Iíll have to revisit this one a year or so from now to see how it ages.

Taster at Zeebra II. Pours pitch black with a good sized creamy head, thick too, dark brown in colour. Good retention on my taster. Light lacing on the glass. Aroma has plenty of coffee, chilli peppers, a bit of alcohol after a deep sniffing. Not very complex, but surely pleasant. On the taste there is light chocolate and coffee, quickly being replaced by the chili peppers and their light burning, not so much on the tongue as on the back of the throat. Moderate sweet all in all, with the chocolate returning on the aftertaste to accompany the chillies.well hidden alcohol. Full body, low carbonation but it really doesnít need more. Smooth on the palate. Overall quite good, nice sipper mainly because of the chillies.

22 oz. bottle shared by jmborggren. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, cinnamon, peppery spice, vanilla, caramel, this is up to the same standards as the other beers out there with cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, etc. Good mouthfeel and body, I would love to try the variations.

Bottle. Wow, very exceptional beer. Strong on the cinnamon and a little bit of chocolate. Very pronounced when cold, beer seems to mellow a lot when it warms. Tons of chocolate in the finish and really well-balanced despite the myriad of flavors.

Wow, tasty stuff. Deep brown pour. Cocoa and coffee dominate nose. Vanilla, cinnamon, and some Chile heat are added in taste. Doughty chest feel, but nice for a big beer. Tasty!

22 oz bottle. Enjoyed the morning of our house settlement selling with a chunk of brie, one last beautiful morning on our deck. Dark brown with a puffed tan head. Smell is cocoa, cinnamon, chili, molasses, coffee bean and smoky raisin. Quite the nosefull. Medium to full body with a fuzzy tang; the spicy heat hits mid-tongue and then the back of the throat. Taste is dark chocolate, mexican espresso, cinnamon and green chilis. Finishes with toasted marshmallow. Perhaps not quite the richness of Hunahpu. Great stuff!

22oz bottle, tasted at GreatMolokoís place. Black color. Thin brown head. Some loose bits of lace. Good chocolate, coffee in the nose. In the flavor, some vanilla comes out. Nice pepper kick at the end. Good chewy thicker texture, nice chewiness. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter taste - some earthy hop. Good light pepper kick. Solid, interesting, tasty well done pepper stout. 8/4/7/4/15

Bomber to snifter (2014 vintage; shared by jmborggren). Looks good; an opaque dull black with foamy beige head. Smells good too; dark malt, chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla with a nice pepper balance. Tastes like it smells with a smooth but peppery mouthfeel. Awesome balance. Great beer!

Bottle. Pours black with a small dense brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, dusty cocoa, roasted coffee, cinnamon and spicy habanero. Taste is sweet and bitter chocolate, cinnamon, the habanero goes from almost unnoticeable to distinct as it warms up, still not too much. Finish is dry spicy chocolate with chili heat. Medium/full body, average carbonation.

Batch 1 thanks to Hector. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong peppers, dark chocolate, wood, and roast. Medium mouthfeel with nice spice, strong roasted chocolate and light bitter finish. Very impressive.

Pour from a bottle is a nice black with a tan head. Aroma has hints of chocolate and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Taste is nice and bittersweet from the chocolate with a smooth vanilla. I also get a bite from the habanero peppers.
