3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
growler. Black ink w/ brown head. Smells like malty warmth, maybe some peppers. It’s a tasty yet undefined mix of chocolate vanilla coffee flavored w/ cinnamon and mild peppers. The pepper heat doesn’t really build, esp. for habs. Thanks Westbrook for the fun first year!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
3/7/2013 bottle. Black, brown gray head. roasty, bitter chocolate, semi sweet, some cinnamon. Spicy after taste which I personally do not approve of. First sips are great, but the spice takes over and masks flavour for me after a while.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2013 bottle. Oily black pour with dark brown head. Smells malty with the faded embers of pepper. Taste is chocolate malt, pepper heat running to the end and beyond. Fairly thick mouthfeel, kick of carbonation. Good stuff just not really complex in the way I’d hoped. I think I liked Huna more.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours black with two fingers brown foam, disappears quickly and leaves no lacings. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa, coconut and hints of pear and leather. Taste is initially stoutish with cocoa, dark chocolate, slight honey and oak before a medium intense heat strikes in. The heat lingers on along with hoppy bitterness and coffee. Full body, medium carbo. Lovely balance and a damn delicious beer!

This spicy treat immediately became one of my favorite beers as soon as I had my first sip. I wish I could have this beer all the time.

65cl bottle shared by Kaaz - thanks. Pours black with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt with dark chocolate, dark fruits and chili. Well balanced and delicious. Excellent stuff and pleasant chili sting. (2014-02-15 - Halden)

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at the Triad bottle share at Foothills organized by Mike. Really nice dark chocolate and churro nose. Flavor is clean of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and a subtle linger red pepper spice. The sensation from the peppers lasts forever without leaving an obnoxious pepper flavor on the palate. Really nicely done!

When I first had this, I was over the moon. I had a few of them. I did not age them because I do not have the will power. I wish I would have.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - bedankt dennoman. I like the character of the roasted malts and the vanilla aroma... but the chilli burn is just tooooo much. Not quite baalnced as the Hunahpu’s. Aftertaste is non-existing because of the overload of heat.
