4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, huge, huge thanks to Mark for this hookup. Dark and thick black pour with thin tan head, sticks around however. Aroma has notes of sour grain, chilis, some slight chocolate, caramel, and coffee notes, the cinnamon comes out as well with a touch of vanilla, this is an odd smelling beer that grows on me as I smell it more. Taste, however, is awesome, literally tastes like a Mexican cake. Taste right on the front is cinnamon, spicy habanero with a citrus quality going into big sweet vanilla, chocolate, cake sugary notes, some mocha coffee notes, goes into some roast and more spicy cinnamon, finishing with some slight dark fruit and more vanilla, finishing sweet, slightly syrupy but for a dessert beer like this it works. Yum.

Bottle sent by Brad. Thanks! Shared.
A: Pure black with a cappuccino head. No complaints.
N: Tons of chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla x2, wafts of pepper.
T: Moderately to very spicy depending on sip. Malt and chocolate are providing a proper base for the heat. Slight bitterness.
M: Sticky and heavy; alcohol is well hidden.
O: Well-balanced pepper beer that hits quite a few notes.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. I need to stop sitting on these beers and drink them. Jet black pour, with minimal mocha head. Smells of chocolate, roast, coffee, and malt. Taste is similar, although the spice of the peppers comes through at the end and kind of sticks with you after the sip has been consumed. Really like the chili flavor, but would prefer it to accompany a bit more rich chocolate. Otherwise this is a fine beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to Luke! Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. An unusual nose, I guess it is the chillies, some chocolate and smoke. The flavor is superbly balanced with clear hot chillies, bitter dark chocolates, vanilla, milky at times. Very drinkable. Great complex beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Colour...thoroughly black with a thin tan head. Nose...spent grain, booze, dark chocolate ganache and chocolate truffle. Palate...chili bite up front then Ibarra chocolate, Ahhh-laska cocoa and cocoa creme. The habanero low grade burn persists across the palate and into the thick, coating finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very dark brown-black light hazy coloured beer with a fast fading roasted malt brown head. On the nose aromas of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, hints of cocoabutter/vanilla and some pleasant astringent spicyness develops. The texture is slick with light fizz to it which fades quickly leaving an oily trace on the palate. The taste is light sweet developping though a liquorice saltyness. The spice hits later pleasantly the palate. The finish is long and bold.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Odense Beer & Ball Saturday - Viborg vs. SønderjyskE. Black body with a small brown head. Coffee, cinnamon, green pepper. Dominating cinnamon ind the flavour with a burning aftertaste from the chili peppers. I’m not a fan of chili in beers. This doesn’t work for me.

Bottle @ Beer & Ball Saturday, Odense. 13,000th Tasting. Pours black with a small off white creamy head. Roast, coffee, wood, chocolate, vanill and cinnamon. Some chili - warming in flavor. Smooth, slick and oily. A shame about the spices..

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Color negro. Aroma a cacao sobre todo. Sabor, chocolate amargo del 85% con un final picante, que al principio es raro, pero que va resultando muy agradable. Rica. La vainilla y la canela para mí están escondidas.
