Happy birthday to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious imperial stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This is the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. Heres to many more!

Black with a thick dark brown head. Aroma is rich chocolate with notes of coffee and a bit of earthiness. Flavor is rich, bittersweet chocolate with a bit of a burnt finish. Spice comes in the aftertaste, theres a warm burn in my throat. Very pleasant and rich with a subtle surprise at the end. Wife: 4.3

Tap at Stags Head. Figured its about stout season so kick it off with a winner. Pours deep brown with lovely head and lacing. Nose is dark chocolate and light spice. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, baileys, caramel, cinnamon, and hint of chilli. The heat hits back throat lager but is mild. Not too rich or sugary which I appreciate.

Very unique and well-balanced. Habanero peppers are very noticeable, but not overpowering. Some hops taste present, but fleeting. All flavors blend well. Beer is pitch black and beautiful. Couldnt tell its high gravity. Highly recommended if looking for an unusual, but delightful, tasting beer.

Espresso smell is strong...cinnamon hits first, very smooth, dangerous for abv! Finishes spicy from peppers...different..not necessarily good...2 quick sips may not be all accurate

Pour is black with a medium milk chocolate colored head. Aroma of cinnamon sticks, dark chocolate, light vanilla, and coffee roast. Flavor is similar with a bit of hop bitterness and a touch of pepper spice in the finish. Medium bodied, alcohol is very well hidden.

Pour jet black, with a small tan head. Aroma has a lot of cacao powder, chocolate, roasted coffee, chili from the middle and out. somewhat "caky", peppery and some green notes to it. The taste is slightly sweet up front, with a good dose of bitterness and spiciness from the mid out. Semi-full bodied, with a somewhat flat carbonation. pretty nice for sure.

Dark brown pour dark tan head. Thick and glass staining. Aroma of bread choco, soy, honey, peppery wood. Tastes like dark choco, cinnamon, slick and sweet. Some heat that blends with the spritz.

Bottle from chuckaduck, thanks again! What a great beer for rating 1000! Jet black pour with a small tan head. Aroma is incredible. Cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa all the way. Flavor is the perfect balance of sweet roasted malts, spices, and heat from the peppers. Absolutely delicious. I really cant find a fault in this beer.

Wow. So glad I got to try this. Pours pitch black with dark tan head. The aroma is chocolate and cinnamon and peppers. The taste is a wonderful blend of chocolate and light cinnamon. The peppers come through at the end in a great way. Vanilla comes through throughout and cinnamon well balanced. Great beer. Can't wait to have again! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Black pour with tan head. Sweet chocolate and spice aromas. Chocolate, sweet malt, light spice, hints of pepper. Really drinkable for this style.
