4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A lot of different smells... Oaky. Some red wine. Raspberry. Musty Barrely smell,. A little strawberry.
Appearance is reddish brown hazy. Head retention is nice.
Taste is very complex. Oaky finish. Sour. Raspberry. Strawberry. A little light almost on the taste. A hint of malt on the finish as well. I dunno. I’m having a little love hate thing. It’s good in its own right...... A subtle fruitiness but the oakiness dominates.... But maybe that makes the fruitiness more appreciable. Some plum maybe.
Palate is very sour. Great flavor development. Smooth.
A really interesting beer. Excited to see a sour come from a small new brewery (and more excited to be a part of something after moving to South Carolina after living in Grand Rapids with founders..) lots of great flavors. Good for a special occasion. Check it out if you can grab a bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared at 4th of July party. On a day of a couple of sour browns this one comes in pretty well but a little thin comparatively so. Flavor is there with lots of fruit and a nice medium tartness. Bit acidic on the finish. A little lighter in the body.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

Bottle-pours a deep brown, reddish color. Aroma is tart with that funky smell. Taste is not very sour, has some sweetness. I can taste the aged aspect. Very good.

Clear reddish colour, off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel, wood, light fruit, light yeast. Malty sweet flavour, light acidic, tart berry, wood, indeed reminding of Oud Bruin. Finish berries, tart wood, light cherry.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours hazy and burnt-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is a collective swirl of caramel, oak, sour cherries and dustiness. Full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and airy carbonation. The flavor is lightly tart and fruity with a small splash of dry, acidic, red wine. Tart, mildly raspy, dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Dec 19 2014) Pours a clear dark amber-red with a small white head, dissipating rapidly with no lace. Aroma has lots of tart red berries, red wine type vinousness, a large helping of oak, light vanilla, decently sour. On the palate, bright juicy red fruit with tart/sour lemon juice character, a little vinegar, light malts, tannic oak with red wine character and very subtle vanilla building in the middle. Drying and nicely acidic in the finish with wood, tart red berries, maybe a bit of yogurt?, wisp of funk. Doesn’t linger extensively on the tongue. Light to medium body feels slightly watery with average, prickly carb. Quite a berry driven Flanders red with pretty prominent oak from long ageing. Maybe a bit light, but fruit and wood do mask that. Pretty elegant, like a sour gamay noir for sipping.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, rusty red color with soapy foam head, woody tannic nose and soft rustic fruit body, great carb, finish could be a little tighter but excellent overall
