Canned on 3/14/14 Great pale gold pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, tangerine, some floral notes, and a hint of pine. The sweet citrusy aromas are what dominate though. Flavor is big juicy orange, mild hop bitterness, and a hint of malty sweetness. Iím surprised how big the citrus flavor is, but itís delcious. Beer feels smooth on the palate and goes down nice. Very easy drinker. Overall this is a very enjoyable beer, and great for a nice sunny afternoon like today.

Can. Pours hazy apricot orange with pillowy white head. Decent retention and moderate quantities of stringy lace. Aroma is piney, resinous, and floral hops, mild funk and yeast. Flavor is citrusy, floral hops, with mild bitter rye finish. More rye as it warms. Soft to moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and mildly crisp, mildly juicy texture.

12 oz can purchased at Mile High Wine & Spirits. Pale golden appearance with a white head and sticky lacing. Aroma of rye spice, citrus fruits and sweet malts. Similar flavor, bitter, spicy and mildly sweet. Crisp and dry.

12oz can pours a slightly hazy dark gold with some thick, heavily lacing white head. Nose is very pithy, orange, juicy, some tangerine, a little soft, slightly herbal. Flavor follows suit, citrus pith, orange juice, tangerine, a flick of malt, a little white flour, some soap, just the slightest touch of peppery grain. Medium bodied, soapy finish.

Can: Opaque, dense orange in the glass, looks almost like thick orange juice; volatile, voluptuous ecru head grows large & sits on top forever; super fat & chunky leaving mounds of sticky lacing behind. Aroma definitely carries big rye note... Spicy rye, soapy pines, sharp lemon zest, musty grains, & a spike of moderately juicy citrus in the very back-end. Taste is a nice combo of rye bread & grainy toast topped with a shower of orange & grapefruit peel, mildly sweet but slightly bitter to balance. Nice balance of sweet fruity notes & spicy rye throughout, as the rye picks up a little steam towards the end & leads to a lightly herbal, spicy finish. Light-medium bodied, highly carbonated... This one was better than expected, & Iím usually not a huge fan of rye beers. Quite nice!

Hazy golden/straw under a wee foamy white head.. Aroma has a strong pine and grapefruit zest hoppiness about it with a big note of rye and lemonpepper. Flavor is a bit more dank and earthy than I care for, with a noticeable overriding flavor of marijuana. Pleasanter tones of light pine and earthy floral notes with a strong spicy rye flavor take it through the finish. Not bad of itself, just too bitter and dank. The grapefruity/lemonpeppery tone is too acidic and I just donít care for weed.
