Mans thanks to Chris for this can. The nose is great floral, fresh and intense. The beer starts malty-smooth, intense-floral. Great! Malty body, a bit earthy-dry, rye typical with a great fresh floralness due to the hops. The aftertaste is long-lasting, intense floral and smooth. Great!

355ml can. Pours orange golden with a very thick, slightly off white foamy head. Some yeast particles suspended. Aroma is sweet and tropical fruits with hoppy notes, taste has some malts, light rye, tropical fruits, citrus. Medium bitterness in the finish with light resinous notes. Medium body, medium carbonation, a bit too watery for my taste.

Golden-colored, with a white head that leaves beautiful lacing, the aroma is herbal/citrus hops, taste is the same with clean rye notes, very crisp, balanced bitterness, overall my favorite year-round from Westbrook and easily my favorite rye pale ale.

Pours a clear yellow from the can with a foamy white head. Aroma is grapefruit and grass. Taste is full on hoppy like an IPA with a huge grapefruit and hoppy finish. Seems really bitter for an APA. Itís very good but way more bitter than I expected.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Kind of hoppy for a pale aLe so it's more like an IPA. Grapefruit hop aroma. Good body and appearance long-lasting head, lacing clear yellow color. Not a bad beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 12 oz can from Superstar Beverage - Huntington, 10/2/14, 3/31/14 date on the can, so not the freshest, I didnít catch that in the store...
Aroma: The nose is sort of mineral, with spice/rye, and some earthy hop notes
Appearance: It pours a murky gold-orange with a small head and some mid-heavy lace
Flavor: The taste along the same lines, spice and mineral flavors, mid bitter on the finish
Palate: It has a medium body, average-to-lively carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
This is a solid beer. Itís a little on the odd side, I canít say I can really think of another beer that gives the mineral almost beachy kind of aroma that Iím getting out of this one. The flavor is more typical, but that character is still there. Interesting beer. Would love to try it a little fresher to see the difference.
