Pours a cloudy gold with a thin wispy white head. Fruity aroma. The flavor is sweet and spicy with pine and resin notes. There is a lot of rye character but it is well balanced. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth. The finish is fairly dry with just a touch of rye spiciness that lingers on. I like this style a lot and this is a very good example.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Greenville, SC. Yellowish-orange pour with a frothy near white head. Aroma of lemon zest, tropical fruits, and damp pale malt. Lightly bitter citrus hops are the first taste noted with rye, sweet malts in perfect balance. The rye also helps to remove any lingering bitterness from the palate. I often prefer even my pale ales to be on the way hoppy side but I can really appreciate this one as a very well balanced and very well done APA.
