Can. Wonderful hoppy ale. Reminds me of what I thought some of my favorite double IPAs tasted and smelled like but they never seem to any more. Lemon pepper grapefruit. Must be oats in the recipe for the mouthfeel though they’re not listed. Best low abv ipa I’ve had.

355 ml. can poured in to a Tulip. Hazy, deep golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, floral hops, peaches, caramel malts, a slight spiced note. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus fruits, peaches and toasted notes. Nice APA.

Taste is lightly sweet and grassy with notes of bread, grass, rye, spicy yeast and dried red fruits. Finished quite spicy and dry. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, tasty

Delicious rye IPA. Citrus and sweet tropical flavour from the hops in a cloudy thick pour with lingering sweet rye.

Can from a trade. A deep foggy orange color with a foamy white thin head. Candy orange tropical aroma. Slightly spiced in the back. A soft feel upfront with flavors of bright citrus and a sparkling hop note. A very orange mango tropical flavor really brings it alive. A great rye flavor comes in as it goes down. Fits very nicely with the flavors and is not too overpowering. A small carbonation feel on the tongue in the end with spices in the back of the throat. Extremely drinkable and refreshing. Beats out Westbrooks IPA in my eyes. Good stuff.

Thanks to buffalohead for the gift of this excellent East Coast IPA. Proving to me that Westbrook is not just a gimmick, this beer contains everything that a well crafted IPA requires. If the brand were to make it a few states over and begin selling in the Ohio market I’d buy some the day it hit the shelves.

Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy rose gold base radiates carlm as it sits below an ivory head. Mango, grapefruit, and bright hops power a robust floral profile fresh from the local farmer’s market.

Flavor / Palate - A chewy mouthfeel coats the mouth after just two sips. Mango, grapefruit, and then a burst of sweet citrus give this the staying power to more than just a hop bomb. After a while the rye emerges full force giving it a strong presence. If I am ever in South Carolina I will definitely be sure to stop at Westbrook.
