UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 By far the best thing I have tasted from Westbrook. Pours a hazy orange color- not much head retention. Nose is citrus, pine and spicy wheat. Taste is well balanced with the hops hitting the right notes and the rye giving it an aura of je-ne-sais-croix. Finish is a nice dry with the citrus lingering. A really good beer. Had from a can but intend to try on tap at the brewery. 1/1/2015 From a can at the beach. Still great. Unfiltered. Definite pine notes along with the citrus/orange. Nice dry resin on the finish.

Mild floral and grapefruit notes. Slightly hazy golden with a nice white head. Floral and grapefruit abound. Bitter with a touch of malt sweet in the finish. Medium bodied and we’ll formed.

33cl can. Hazy orange with a thin white head. Citrus and grapefruit, bread, spices, caramel. Medium bodied - actually thicker than most IPAs - with a low carbonation and a moderately bitter and spicy aftertaste.

Can: Pine needle and pineapple nose, peach hints. Hazy amber, fine sediment, thick yellow head. Grain, grapefruit. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Simple, but flavorful and temptingly quaffable, refreshing. They should sell this in 40s, because I want to chug this.

Can@himmeriget. Golden cloudy. One finger foam. Dusty citrus piney. Smooth. Dry bitter. Fine balance. Quite bitter finish. Love it. Love rye rustic brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Crushed probably 20-25 cans of this while I was in Charleston for my buddies wedding. All but one were straight from the beautiful blue can, and one was poured into a glass for a "proper" rate. Pours hazed gold with a white head. Rye malts feature up front, with mild fruity hops, light bitterness, and faint sweetness. Good stuff.

Pint. One of the top pale ales out there. Rye and pine at the nose, light body, lasting taste at the end. Recommended!

12 oz. can. Foggy, orange-topaz body with a spongy disc of foam. Nose is spicy orange flesh, toffee, pine resin and toast. Tastes of orange flesh and zest, caramel, a hint of rye toast and a finish of evergreen resin. Light-plus body is very drinkable, with a slight slant to the dry side and a pleasing low level of fizz. Quite tasty session ale.
