French for “season,” Saisons were traditionally brewed in Belgian farmhouses in autumn to be consumed in the late summer during the harvest. Our version of this classic Belgian ale is pale gold, with a fruity and peppery aroma from the Saison yeast strain. Light bodied and crisp on the palate with a very dry finish that makes this the perfect beer for hot weather! Availability: Draft, August/September First Released: August 11, 2011

Bottle. Pours gold with a big and fluffy white head. Spicy peppery and floral hoppy aroma, with a light grainy base. The flavor has peppercorn, floral hops, light peach-like fruity notes, light grassy notes, and a grainy malty base. Good stuff, moderately dry finish.

Bottle… Cloudy, deeply golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head that never fully dissipates. The bouquet is an herbal, fruity swirl of lemon zest and white pepper alongside spicy phenols and hops. Medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The nicely balanced flavor presents lots of spicy and lemon-zesty goodness. Finishes tangy, modestly bitter and dry. Bottle courtesy of scraff!

Shared by Turdferguson. Pours soft golden yellow with one to two fingers of sticky white head. Nose is very nice, lots of sweet citrus and candied fruit. Lightly bready and yeasty with a spicy/zesty character. Flavors not quite as awesome, raw fruit and Belgian yeast with some bread dough and spicy hops. Lightly peppery. Very dry and light bodied. Surprisingly well done Southern Saison.

Bottle, thanks Ryan. Bright orange golden with a small white head, Nose is dusty, bread, granny smith apples, light pepper. Flavor is a little more muddled, lightly vegetal, some sweetness, light bitterness. The aroma and appearance are promising but after that it kind of falls apart.
