22oz bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a small brown head. Aroma of booze, sweet milk chocolate, ans roast malts. Taste much as the aroma with the chocolate, leading the way, a nice bitter end.

Nydelig.

Dark mahogany pour with a midnight core. Small latte head that diminished to a wisp and a ring. Nose is of cocoa, soy, vanilla, and dark fruit. Flavor filled with shoyu...Kikkoman through and through. Some brownie batter and fudge, but tons of briney qualities. Sticky and coating. Molasses, caramel, and salt-water taffy. An interesting take on a Baltic Porter.

Happy Father’s Day.
Bottle courtesy of Brad. Served in Westbrook glassware, also courtesy of Brad.
The beer is black with an inch of beige head. The aroma brings chocolate, molasses, dark fruit. Beautiful balance and delicious flavor. Alcohol is evident but gracefully masked. Rich and full bodied. Abundant chocolate, both dark and milk. Palate coating and viscous. Delicious.

What a great beer. This brewery is doing things. Pours jet black with lasting creamy brown head. Aroma is cocoa, burnt toast, some herbal hoppiness, and light currants. Really great creamy thick and rich mouthfeel. Hugely drinkable for 10% because it isnt overly sweet. Awesome/.

Bomber shared with friends at Sybarite Pig. Super dark pour with a soft foamy head. Dark chocolate aroma mixed with a tiny bit of rolled oats. Really delicious and easy to drink.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Glaçage à gâteau au chocolat liquide avec les attraits de la levure lager qui donne une fraîcheur et une clarté des saveurs. Torréfaction et malts rôti en vedette, vraiment solide.

A monster indeed. Thick, full-bodied beer. Strong roasted malt, but also with some hops. Very good.

Reviewed from notes. This was received in a trade.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass and a snifter.
There wasn’t any difference between the two glasses.
The appearance was a fairly decent dark brown to black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute gracing the glass with some fairly nice clinging lacing in a spider web fashion.
The smell had a good about of licorice, light coffee, light milk chocolate with some booziness swirling around together underneath my nose.
The taste was sweet and boozy around the chocolate, coffee and alcohol. There was a light sticky boozy chocolate aftertaste and a dry coffee/chocolatey finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with more of a sipper’s type of quality to it. The carbonation seemed fairly light, but that’s okay, its nothing that was bad.
Overall, what a nice Baltic Porter I would have again.
