The beer so nice they named it twice. The only (known) incarnation of Siberian Black Magic Panther Imperial Stout has been this one, a draft-only version aged in Laird’s Apple Brandy Barrels. Even that has only popped up at a handful of special events. To say folks have raved about it would be an understatement.

pitch black and oily sweet and fruity aroma with lots of berry and milk chocolate. Much better than bourbon. Lots of fruit and very smooth. Lovely chocolate and fig

22 oz bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate with some mild milk chocolate notes, the influence of the apple brandy barrel is noticeable especially since we had it next to the bourbon version, adds sweetness, wood, caramel, mild spicy notes, vanilla. This was very good, better than the bourbon version.

22 oz. bottle shared by b3shine - thanks, Beau! Pours an opaque chocolate brown with a small brown head that leaves spots of lace in the glass. Notes of apple brandy, which brings more sweetness to the base than the Bourbon version did, along with caramel, chocolate, molasses, oak, dark and dried fruits, brown sugar, and fudge - like the other one, decadent. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a rich, sweet, smooth mouthfeel. Another great one. Now I need to see if I have what it takes to get the Cakes.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roast coffee, chocolate, wood and sweet alcohol aroma. Copious body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout brew.

4/VII/14 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ De Hopduvel (Gent) - bottled: II/4/14 (2014-696) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: earthy, mocha, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, bit fruity, sugary, caramel, vanilla, bit dusty. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: fruity start, bit sour, lots of caramel, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, some alcohol, brandy I guess, sweet, almost cloying. Aftertaste: sourish, apple skin, lots of alcohol, caramel, lots of vanilla, mocha, coffee, chocolate. In the end quite an alcohol burn.

Bottle shared by local raters. Bottled 2/4/14. Pretty much pitch black color. Thin bubbly brown head, some decent but kinda loose dots of lace. Good brandy nose -- kinda woody, lightly spicy. Some apple. Good dark chocolate in the flavor, some coffee, mild dark fruit, moderate roast. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Moderate sweet. Alcohol works well. No burn or bite. Just a mild light warmth, light dry finish. Good chewiness to the texture. Light carbonation. Solid, complex interesting tasty stuff. Really fantastic. A lot brighter than the bourbon version; I enjoyed this variant a bit more. Brandy provides a perfect light spicy edge to this. So interesting and tasty.
