COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer so nice they named it twice. The only (known) incarnation of Siberian Black Magic Panther Imperial Stout has been this one, a draft-only version aged in Laird’s Apple Brandy Barrels. Even that has only popped up at a handful of special events. To say folks have raved about it would be an understatement.

Killer bottle from Westmeister-thanks, man! Thick and dark with no head or lacing. Nose of dark dried fruits, light brandy, dark and burnt malts. Super smooth especially given the alcohol. Prune, light ash, vanilla, chocolate, calvados like sweetness, but light. Top notch.

Bottle at Crooked Stave with friends. Pour is deep black with a nice brown head and good lacing. Rich cocoa, some roast, sweet fruits, coconut, wood, bourbon notes, toffee and raisins in the aroma. Taste is rich dark chocolate, espresso, toffee, caramelized sugars, some dates, grapey, and plums with a semi-roasted finish. Thick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really tasty.

pitch black and oily sweet and fruity aroma with lots of berry and milk chocolate. Much better than bourbon. Lots of fruit and very smooth. Lovely chocolate and fig

22 oz bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate with some mild milk chocolate notes, the influence of the apple brandy barrel is noticeable especially since we had it next to the bourbon version, adds sweetness, wood, caramel, mild spicy notes, vanilla. This was very good, better than the bourbon version.

22 oz. bottle shared by b3shine - thanks, Beau! Pours an opaque chocolate brown with a small brown head that leaves spots of lace in the glass. Notes of apple brandy, which brings more sweetness to the base than the Bourbon version did, along with caramel, chocolate, molasses, oak, dark and dried fruits, brown sugar, and fudge - like the other one, decadent. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a rich, sweet, smooth mouthfeel. Another great one. Now I need to see if I have what it takes to get the Cakes.
