This Czech-style pilsner is brewed with 100% pilsner malt and a blend of old and new world hops. Dry-hopping adds a hop accent to the nose, while cold fermentation with a a classic Czech lager yeast emphasizes the fresh grainy flavor of the malt and spiciness of the kettle hops. This beer provides plenty of flavor and nuance to be enjoyed on its own, but is also simple enough to get out of the way when food and/or conversation is the focus. We could drink it everyday!

Hazy golden coloured body with a very yellow glow, and a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of lemons, yeast, wort, light spices, hay, grass and a good amount of hops. Light-bodied; Sharp malt flavour at first with a noticeable citrus and lemon flavour coupled with some very grassy and herbal notes and a hint of minerals near the end. Aftertaste shows a light hop character of grass and herbs with some subdued bitterness from the minerals and a touch of sweet citrus notes at the end. Overall, a nice and refreshing beer for sure, with solid flavours and a nice profile. That said, it’s not something worth searching out for, unless you really like this style - there are far better beers for almost any occasion for much cheaper. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia for US$8,99 on 02-June-2014 sampled at home here in Washington on 04-September-2014.

Bomber from Savor Growl. Murky yellow pour with a finger or so bright white foamy head. Aroma is lively floral, herbal, lemon, hay. Tastes are yeasty, honey, grass, biscuit, hay. Finishes with floral bitterness and lemon peel. Palate is creamy but thin. I don’t know if I’d seek it out again, but it’s pretty interesting.

Pour is a light straw colored with a medium white head that persists for a while and offers some really nice lacing. Nose is of cereals and light noble hops, classic pils. Taste is grainy and lightly sweet, moderately bitter. It is mostly cereals that you taste and it ends on some nice herbal notes. Body was medium and carbobation medium to high. Overall a nice offering, I just wish it was a bit lighter.

Moderately lasting grassy aftertaste. Drinkable and quenching. Nice herbalness. Very good.

Bottle pour. Opaque wheat yellow with soupy white head. Wet smelling, damp. Crackers, lemon and peppercorns. Faint canned corn. Medium body. Dry, with pronounces yet tame hops. Light saaz spice. Vegetal notes return (though in a less serious fashion) on finish. It is what it is.
