This Czech-style pilsner is brewed with 100% pilsner malt and a blend of old and new world hops. Dry-hopping adds a hop accent to the nose, while cold fermentation with a a classic Czech lager yeast emphasizes the fresh grainy flavor of the malt and spiciness of the kettle hops. This beer provides plenty of flavor and nuance to be enjoyed on its own, but is also simple enough to get out of the way when food and/or conversation is the focus. We could drink it everyday!

Bomber bottle. Poured a dull gold color with a whitish head. Aroma of bread, lemon, grass and herbs. Flavor was the same general blend. Refreshing bread backbone punctuated by earthy, grassy and herbal notes with hints of lemon in the finish.

22 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy light gold with a finger of soft white head that laces the glass. Notes of bready and crackery malts, straw, grass, lemon zest, light, summery florals, and faint herbs. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter mouthfeel that lingers. The carbonation sneaks up on you, making it kind of fizzy in the background, if that makes any sense. I really loved this at first, but notched my rating down as the relatively big body for the style weighed on me after a while. Still - hell of a beer overall.

Hazy golden brew. Grainy aroma and a notable, albeit restrained use of hops. Potent and balanced.

Draft pour. Pours a hazed yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma has musty, fruity, sour notes. Taste has the fruity sweetness. Not sure I’d call this a Czech Pils though. Definitely sour. Lighter body and medium carbonation.

Bottle at James’ for the multi-K tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Big fuzzy musk, smells of spring. Medium bodied, lots of bright musk and some grainy bitterness. Crisp and simple, long bitterness into the finish. Nice musk notes.

22oz bottle pours a pale straw color with a bit of head. Prominent hops though overpowers the malt a little.

Hazy golden coloured body with a very yellow glow, and a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of lemons, yeast, wort, light spices, hay, grass and a good amount of hops. Light-bodied; Sharp malt flavour at first with a noticeable citrus and lemon flavour coupled with some very grassy and herbal notes and a hint of minerals near the end. Aftertaste shows a light hop character of grass and herbs with some subdued bitterness from the minerals and a touch of sweet citrus notes at the end. Overall, a nice and refreshing beer for sure, with solid flavours and a nice profile. That said, it’s not something worth searching out for, unless you really like this style - there are far better beers for almost any occasion for much cheaper. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia for US$8,99 on 02-June-2014 sampled at home here in Washington on 04-September-2014.

Bomber from Savor Growl. Murky yellow pour with a finger or so bright white foamy head. Aroma is lively floral, herbal, lemon, hay. Tastes are yeasty, honey, grass, biscuit, hay. Finishes with floral bitterness and lemon peel. Palate is creamy but thin. I don’t know if I’d seek it out again, but it’s pretty interesting.
