This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

12 oz. can from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger white head, pale straw color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: fruit, caramel, light spice and ginger. Palate: light body, average carbonation, light bitter finish, thin texture. Taste: sweet wheat and caramel, into sweet ginger, with a little bit of sting on the back, light floral hop finish. Overall, very unique and drinkable, enjoyable, not a great balance for me, but other than that, very pleasant.

December 13, 2014. Can at Bishops Arms St Eriksgatan. Hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet boiled grain, light ginger and lemongrass, faint notes of bubblegum. Taste is sweet grainy with faint spices and citrus notes. Soft sweet finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. (The date was a bit blurred but it looked like it was canned in august 2013 which would explain the lack of fresh citrus notes, need to rerate this later on)

Can from Lazy Dog in Warner Robins. Pours hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Pleasant aroma of wheat malts, bit if yeast funk, ginger, lemon peel, and some additional spice notes. Flavor is light wheat malt sweetness, spices, good amount of yeasty notes, lemon peel, apples. Light bodied with medium plus carbonation. Easy drinking wit with a little flare. Not bad.

Opalescent light golden with a small white head and fair lacing. On the nose aromas of lemon, wheat, basement and woody coconut shell with earthy ginger notes arise. Fine carbonation opens the show to a soft slickness. Shows light-medium sweet earthy flavours with a hint of bitterness developing on the back of the palate. Rather harmonic with light lemon, coriander impressions lingering in the medium lasting finish. Definitely good with some mild currys.

Cloudy lemon colour and a white head with good lacing. Aroma has typical witbier notes but with lemongrass. Taste - hints of banana and clove like a typical wit but with very well balanced flavour from the ginger root. Tasty stuff

Dorado pálido, espuma blanca. Aromas de fruta verde, plátano y pan. Cuerpo ligero, inicio dulce y afrutado, como de plátano y final seco moderado. Buena.

From can. Medium hazy golden color. Tangy nose and mouthfeel. Hint of lemongrass with a bitter finish. Slight hint of hops, but not overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
