This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Cloudy golden pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is standard spice and citrus wit. Taste has nice lemongrass notes along with citrus, spice, and dough. Light and easy drinking.

Draft (Craftsmen, Charleston SC, May 2015). Head is mostly lasting. Body is cloudy light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of lemongrass, ginger, coriander. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This is very spice-centric and doesn’t offer much wrt the base beer. Had no idea what spices were used when taking notes (being a draft sample and all), a testament to just how prominent and obvious the lemongrass and ginger are...I like both of those spices but there’s not much else going on in this.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2015 Way interesting aroma (pepper) in a cloudy pour. Would make an excellent summer BBQ beer and complement most foods thusly prepared.

Cervesa molt lleugera que aporta poc, es noten tocs especiats com a gingebre. Cerveza muy ligera que aporta poco, se notan toques especiados como a jengibre.

12oz can into tulip. Minneapolis. Pours cloudy golden-pale yellow. Abundant white head. Aroma is lemon candy, ginger, and a touch of grassiness. Just like it is described on the can. A little sweetness. Very inviting. Taste is sweet upfront but it fades. Body is medium light, smooth texture, light carbonation, very clean finish. This stuff is very refreshing.

Like a blue moon. Give it to a girl or a guy who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really good poolside wheat beer that I discovered with my wife over July 4th weekend. This beer is like traditional witbeers in color and aroma. But what makes this beer stand out is the citrus almost lemon-like after taste which is counter to the orange nature of most wheat beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light lemon. Some herbs. Some camomile. Hazy yellow pour with OK lacing. Light sweet finish. Tap
