This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Pours cloudy straw color with slight white head. Aroma is of spices and heavy yeast esters. Flavor is relatively well-rounded, emphasizing more on the spices than the hoppy citrus. Enjoyable Summer session beer.

Pours golden with a two-finger white head. Pretty foamy. Aromas of citrus peels, flowers, slight spice and cereal. Taste is a bit bland. I get some spice in with the orange peel...which leads to some bitterness in the back-end. But, maybe itís just the full-body on this puts me off? Not a bad beer, but just not one I would seek out again.

Draft. Light perfume in the nose. Pour is a hazy dark yellow with medium sized white head. Laces well. Taste is initially all wheat with a full mouthfeel. Finishes with a faint peppery note. Not really much of a witbier by the spicing but a very enjoyable beer. A touch full in the mouthfeel but thatís kinda par for the course with these unmalted wheat beers.

Pour out of 12 oz can, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of slight grass, grain, white fruit, hints of slight biscuity notes in there. Taste is a mix of biscuit, bread, some slight spice into lemon, white fruit, finishing fairly dry, slightly bitter.

Can @ Euston Tap, London. Pours hazy gold with a medium-to-large head. Sour lemon with some characteristic witbier spices. Taste starts with a spicy sweetness, sharp change to sour/bitter. Sourish lingering aftertaste. Watery mouthfeel. Doesnít really get me too excited, kind of a witbier by numbers despite the exotic title.

Lazy Dog can in WR. Nice cloudy orange color with a foamy white head and bubbly carbonation. Nice aroma of yeast, citrus and a little white pepper spice. Big taste with a full mouthfeel. Orange and lemon citrus plus a lingering spice. Very nice.

[Can (12oz)] Pours a slightly hazy gold with a huge lasting fluffy white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat and banana first followed by yeast, light spices, some herbs and a hint of ginger. Refreshing flavour of citrus fruit, herbs, yeast, some ginger and hops in the finish. Medium bodied. A pleasant version of the style.

A simple witbier. Would prefer it with food or something like that. Drink on can. Some lemon taste/aroma

Draft - Lemon grass, coriander and Belgian yeast. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Wheat, light citrus, coriander and the ginger makes a play here. I donít think I like the ginger in this beer.

Smells of lemongrass, Belgian yeast and banana. Cloudy but bright yellow. Taste is sharp lemon, clove, allspice, and bubbly mineral water. Mouthfeel is smooth with a nice amount of viscosity.
