This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Hazy orange yellow pour with a thin white head. aroma isn’t too strong; mostly breadiness. Some sweet notes too. Taste is some citrus, the lemongrass and wheat play together in the body, and a slight hit of ginger in some sips. Could definitely use more ginger.

Bardzo inne piwo. W zapachu mamy silne nuty imbirowe, ryżowe i cytrynowe.

Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2013. Fruity and spicy smell. Taste of ginger, lemongrass, thai spices. Mild taste though, probably works great with thai food.

Can, purchased at Systembolaget. Pours a hazy pale straw, under a fully diminishing white top. Lots of citrus to the nose. Hints of flowers, sweet bon-bon and mild spices. Fairly dry on the palate. Crisp fruitiness, restrained malt body. A fresh and easy drinkable light-weighter.

Hazy light straw pour. White head. Tart wheat, lemon and some unidentifiable spice in the aroma. Fruity but dry. Lemon peel is strong. Ginger is very subdued. Hops are light, but bitterness is there. Malt is a toasty, bready contribution. Very nice, flavorful, drinkable brew. This would work great with food.

12 oz. can. It pours a cloudy light yellow/orange color with a small white head. The aroma is interesting with wheat, ginger, orange and the unmistakable aroma of coconut from the Sorachi Ace hops. The flavor has spicy yeast with more ginger, coconut with some minor citrus notes near the finish. It has a rather creamy body. Pretty decent stuff. None of the components are overdone, which with all the adjuncts and unique hop varieties is a nice accomplishment. Good beer.

Can thanks to icehawk ! Pours a hazy yellow blonde color with a finger of fizzy white foam that sticks a bit. The nose is interesting... lemon, earthy spice, touch of floral graininess. The palate follows the nose and reads much like a belgian white with lots of earthy spice and traces of underlying lemon peel and a touch of ginger. Want to love it but its a bit strange, but nice to see an experimental witbier !

Can from Erzbierschof - Hazy pale golden color, small head, no retention, no lacing - aroma is spicy, lemon, lemongrass, ginger, really fruity - flavor is matly (wheat), lemongrass, hints of ginger, yeasty (bready) - light body, a little bit dry, low bitterness, good carbonation, spicy fruity finish - combination of spices, really refreshing

From can at Craftsman Ale House. Nice citrus aroma and taste. No head to speak of but an all around good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can. Poured a hazy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Citrus, lemongrass and ginger. This was nice and refreshing, only thing I can ding is to personal tastes - not too crazy about ginger in beers.
