This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

12oz can pours a hazy gold with some lacing, white head. Nose was underwhelming, mild clove, mild lemongrass, light spice, light sweetness. Flavor is the same, mild lemon, mildly sweet, light grass, light spice. Lightly bitter finish. Very underwhelming.

Canned. Hazy light yellow color with a nice head and lacing. Aroma is a lot of the traditional Belgian witbier scents, bananas, cloves, wheaty, little lemony. Flavor is a lot more lemon and some light citrus than the aroma at the forefront. Light banana and clove come through in the aftertaste. Also a very very slight hop bitterness at the end. Medium-light pleasant carbonation that compliment this sessionable beer nicely. Not bad.

Can. Would guess that it’s golden with white head. Lemongrass, ginger, spice and some sorachi aromas. Flavors are belgian tones, with light spice, ginger and lemongrass, hints of sorachi.

12 oz can. Pours hazy straw yellow with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is wheat malts, funky fruit and spices (ginger and others).

The flavor is wheat malts with some funk and some spicy fruit in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an interesting wit - I like the Thai spices.

Yellow golden body and stable head. Pale malts, herbal hops, refined buy simple general aroma. Taste is very nice, good body, but honestly the aroma is too unimaginative for my expectations. Drinks very well but not sure what I’ve got here, besides an American Pale Ale with general hop mixture. (33cl can from Bière Révolution)

Belgian-style witbier from a brewery following the new American trend of selling craft ales in cans. Spiced with lemon grass and ginger, a welcome variation on the eternal coriander and curaçao, and equally atypically hopped with Sorachi Ace. Snow white, thin but stable head, hazy pale ochre blonde colour. Very pleasantly perfumed aroma of wheat, soap, ginger, limoncello, honey, gingerbread, banana liqueur, apricot, mango. Fruity onset with citrus zest touch, sweetish honeyish malts paired with a refreshing wheat sourishness and ending in a dry, sourish but also remarkably hop bitter finish. Very American interpretation of the style and quite enjoyable.

Can. 9/11/14. Pours hazy straw-gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy, Belgian yeast, banana, bubblegum, earthy, crisp, ginger, candi sugar. Taste is citrus, lemongrass, crisp, spicy,, sweet, very clean, leafy, hint of fruit rind, coriander; finish is very brief, citrus, lemongrass, ginger. Think but consistent lacing throughout. Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. I like this a lot more than I expected I would.
