This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Can: Thanks, Mike! Golden sunshine and cloudy with a nimbus head, white and chunky with nice lacing. Aroma is kind of lemony, lots of clumpy yeast, bubblegum, little ginger spice, and kind of a cheesy funk. Taste is also filled with Belgian yeast, bubblegum, light clove and ginger spices, very mild hints of lemon zest, and a touch of stale hops. Some faintly sweet, bready malt in the finish. Medium bodied for the ABV, good carbonation. Not bad, but a little to spiced without enough sweetness to counter.

Can. Pours hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of grain and yeast, with fruity notes and mild hints of hops. Bitter, mhoppy flavour with notes of yeast and sourish, grainy touches. Bitterish aftertaste with spicy hints. Crispy. Quite reasonable, I should say.

Can, 5%. Mild citric aroma, hint of clove. Cloudy yellow colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour starts off wheaty. Then comes a citric and slightly watery note with a clean medium bitterness. Finishes on a citric and spicy note, probably the lemon grass. Flavourful and refreshing.

Interesting, easy drinking ale. 2 month old can. Not much up front but an interesting tea-like spice on the finish. Low sweetness and low malt, no typical hops are detected. Interesting beer that fits the name well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy yellow with thin head. Aroma is a bit musty and yeasty. Flavour has a certain sweetness that seems misplaced. Fairly bland.

Pretty good but felt a little light. Good wheat flavor. The lemongrass really comes through.

This cloudy golden beer has a sweeter smell from the wheat. This wit also taste like a nice wheat beer and is smooth in the palate. This brew is certainly above average. Nice summer beer.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, lemongrass, citrus and bubblegum. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long citrus and hint of lemongrass finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

6-pack of cans. Nice, creamy, cloudy witbier but with a touch of Asian about it, just as advertised. Do the spices make it less refreshing than a more neutral wheat? Probably, but they also make it tastier.
