COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Can. White-yellow colored pour with a thin white head on it. Smells full of lemon and citrus, some coriander and orange peel. Very easy to drink and pretty lively on carbonation. I liked it a good bit, I would drink it again.

Single from taps. Spice aroma. A bit of cinnamon and tea. Light orange color. White frothy head. Flavor is cinnamon and baked bread. Banana. Finish is spicey again. Wheat hefe sort of beer with a little extra spice.

The best things about this beer are its appearance and flavor. Aroma was slight and body was perhaps a touch thin. They did pretty good with the flavor though and I could see having more.

Interesting, fun light beer. Hazy yellow pour. Ginger and lemongrass pop at first. Some citrus, cardamom, and other spices show up. Real easy to drink,

Nose is spicy yeast, ginger, candied lemon. Flavor is same plus some raw wheat and grassiness. Creamy, soft texture, prickly carb.

First can I was like, WTF is this? But by the second can I was sold. Definitely a beer that stands out for its itness - no other beer is like it. Ginger is too strong, lemongrass is powerfully present, but there is a great saison foundation here and once you get past the unfamiliarity the beer settles in as notably unique. I’ve had two Westbrook beers now and I am ready to say this is one of the better brewers in America.

Ever so slightly hazy copper coloured body with hints of orange and a thin white head, less than a centimetre tall. Aroma of grain, coriander seed, wheat, cereal and a touch of curacao. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive coriander seed and curacao flavours up front with some full oranges and light spices noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows more grain and a good deal of unfinished yeast in the mix, all with more body than I expected. Overall, a nicely layered wit with some odd profiles and atypical tastes, but largely still a good beer, especially for the style and even more especially so, served in a can. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 18-July-2014 for US$2,50 sampled at home in Washington on 20-February-2015 a few hours before leaving for Charleston, SC.

12oz can. Drank this with Jambalaya in Charleston. Greatly refreshing, I didn’t pick up on the ginger much. Pours semi-hazy light yellow - a little lighter than other wheats. No head and no lacing. Aroma of citrus and some malt. Flavor is mild grass, lemon (yes, lemongrass), and wheat. Low alcohol, and a very crisp finish make this a great brew for hot summer session.
