Enniskillen (1532), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Mar 16, 2008 Nice gold, with no head. Aroma is a very sweet red apple, almost like a candy apple.
Taste is a nice light apple, with a very light cinnamon, and brown sugar. Nice Cider. shigadeyo (1342), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Sep 13, 2007 Pacific Northwest Vacation 2007
8/26/2007: Westcott Bay Orchards Vintage Cider pours a transparent, deep marigold color with a mild to moderate amount of carbonation. The wonder scent of freshly pressed apples with a touch of floral apple blossoms undertone waft from the glass. The dry flavor is crisp, delicate apple, not quite sweet, and absent of alcohol. This cider is crisp and light, but isn’t watery at all. Actually, it feels more full in the mouth than it really is. It must be from the tannins. Overall this was a satisfying cider that is representative of the English Cider style.
650 mL bottle (Alcohol 6.8% by Volume) from King’s Market in Friday Harbor, Washington. Rating #7 for this cider...
CapFlu (3247), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 22, 2007 (750ml bottle) Sampled at Ciderwinder 4. Courtesy of Oakes. Golden amber body with a clear view through the bottle. Nose of mild concord apples. Very dry and white wine. Slightly underaverage, bland and plain. scrizzz (455), kirkland, Washington, USA Aug 20, 2007 I love the golden color and tiny consistent bubbles. Great dry cider with no added sweeteners that went great with irish cheddar. Just dry enough to coat the tongue and enough carbonation to compliment the cheese. Better to drink this with food than by itself, though. Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2007 Deep gold colour. Quickly fizzes up, then dies. Soft, sweet apple nose with a hint of woodiness. Crisp, appley, with a fairly rich apple character. Mostly dry in the finish.
