Cask; Special - April 2011.
A traditional Dusseldorf style Altbier or old ale, brewed to a recipe from our friend, Markus Lotz, of the Marktbrau in Nidda near Frankfurt. Made with noble German Spalt hops.
Brewed with a single step infusion and a blend of lager, crystal and chocolate malts and our ale yeast.

Cask at the Kings Tun JDW, brown with a faint haze, hints of orange on the nose, slightly tart body with a little orange and hop bitterness in the finish. Not very Alt-like.

The_Osprey (6607) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2014
Cask at the Kings Tun JDW. Amber orange, still with the odd bubble, clear, small bubbly white head. Aroma is malty, understated. Body is medium to light, quite smooth but high carbonation for a cask ale. Taste - bready malt, touch of liquorice root, light bitterness. Semi-sweet, slightly astringent. Nothing wrong with it, but pretty average.

Cask at the Reading beer festival. Pale amber. Caramel dominates, but it’s an ok if forgettable session beer. Not a lot to it really.
