Cask; Special - August 2011.
Straw yellow lager (yes that means lagered or matured for 6 weeks) hopped with Saaz noble hops with a distinctive hop aroma and bitterness usually found in Bohemian pilseners.

Keg at Ply, Manchester. Hazy yellow/amber shade. Short white head that vanishes. Lemony and grainy taste and aroma. Getting some stewed fruits in the taste. Moderately bitter. Seems well balanced but the end product doesn’t strike me as the most authentic.

Light golden with a huge, frothy white head. Aroma of very light barnyard, sweet malt. Light body, flavour of an above average lager.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy, grainy and wet grassy aroma, a dusty pollen touch. Taste is minimally sweet grainy, dry strawy, a cautious touch of honey, dry hoppy overtones with hints of cardboard, wet grass, a floral touch. To some degree variegated, spicy; obviously high-class ingredients. Not bad.

Beautiful to look at. The aroma is bready and malty. Quite good pilsner even though it lacks some crispness.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Spicy earthy hop aroma. Easy drinking in the mouth. Some lasting bitterness on the finish. I thought it was good. Good use of hops throughout, clean, no faults. Arguably the best lager made in Kent.

Cask @ Lord Northbrook, London, 30/08/13. Pours yellow with a small, off-white head. Aroma is fruity, some grass and straw, feels more like golden ale rather than a pilsner. Taste is fruit, light caramel and some flower. Light and smooth. Not really pilsnery. Didn’t really quench my thirst for a well-crafted lager though definitely not bad by any means. Just not what it says on the tin, unfortunately. Well made craft lagers are few and far inbetween.
