Pours quite light before settling to a darker colour with a thick, creamy head, almost like a nitro bitter. Really low carbonation, low bitterness, malty with a strong butterscotch character.

Cask@The Darkmouth Arms. Ambry golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, bitterness, some earth and mild nutty notes. Flavour is a nice balance of fruits, wood, caramel, some nuttyness as well as mild syrupy notes. A bit sweet, otherwise very nice.

Cask at the White Horse 40 from 40 Festival, 3rd May 2010. Clear amber with some white head. Very little nose. Typical session bitter, ok balance, restrained malt and hops. Dry finish. A decent summertime session ale.

On gravity at Bristol Beer festival, 19/03/10. Deep gold in colour with next to no head. Light aroma of digestive biscuits with a whiff of apricot. Flat, subdued flavours of sweetish malts and fruit with a short, bitter finish. Forgettable.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, caramel notes, chlorine light notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090410]
