COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Autumn.
Our recipe for this seasonal ale includes Crystal Malt for a rich autumnal colour and ‘Bramling Cross’ hops which are a cross between English hops and a Manitoban wild hop from Canada. Our autumn ale stands out from the crowd thanks to the addition of a special ingredient; Canadian maple syrup

Cask at the Antelope in Surbiton. Can’t say the maple syrup was noticable in itself, but it did have a sweet caramel/toffee quality and a hint of nuts. Pleasant enough bitter.

Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Caramel, toffee a bit of coffee, some hay hop character, not much maple to be seen but thats perhaps a good thing. Generally alright.

Wallington Festival. An Autumn Ale. These reddish crystal malt beers rarely excite me. This has the regular chocolate, roasted malt and damp tea leaves flavours that the others have, plus a hint of overall background sweetness that I could be convinced is maple syrup. Nice, but doesn’t quite roast my nuts.
