500 mL bottle bought at the Great British Beer Festival 2011, poured into a pint glass at home. Amber brown beer with a generous but foamy head. Acidic and hoppy aroma. Oaky dark fruit first taste with bitterness. A bit like Adnams Broadside. Better than your average English pint.

A BBE 31.5.08 bottle but has been stored cool and dark. Hazy light brown beer. Dry and a little bitter although some smooth malt provides some relief. Boney dry finish - much to much so. Overall not a good un!

Bottle@Home. Citrus and light grassy aroma, a bit citric as well. Light amber colour, large off-white irregular head, fair lace. Almost no sweetness, yet hints of toffee, grassy, herbal, light medicinal. Astringent and dry finish. Strange stuff...

bottle from Waitrose Tenterden, bought while desperately looking for a toilet en-route to the channel tunnel. Amber colour, mid-sized fluffy white head. Malty and sweet but not too sweet. Citrusy hoppy flavours balance it. A nice brew.

Bottle bought from Waitrose. Golden with some hoppiness. Some maltiness with other subtle flavour appearing. Nearly but not quite a good bitter.
