Oct 22, 2004 BKelley68 mentioned that he had a bottle of this beer in the back when we did a beer run to Rozi’s one day. I was always impressed with Western Reserve Brewing when it was a going concern, and to find an extinct beer that I never had the chance to try was exciting. Very dark beer out of the bottle with a strong nose of bitter coffee, molassas and some smoke. Very smooth beer, which I attribut partially to its age (best before 1-22-00). Nice sweetened roast coffee bitterness. Coffee gound bitterness in the finish. Well balanced. Very solid beer, even after all this time. I wish they still made it, and if you happen to see a bottle, buy it and drink it.
