A light and refreshing dunkel. It isnt as rich and decadent as some but it is a good summer elixir.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Deep ruby, thin frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Bready nose, whole wheat sorta bready.
Mild sweetness.   Similar tongue.   Dark or burnt straw highlights.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.
Finishes with a heavy breadiness, but not flavor not in body or mouthfeel.   Not bad, but very middle of the road.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Thanks MiP.
Dark brown colour. Big, creamy head. Dark aroma profile with metal dominating, underneath is toasty notes. Flavour is very subdued with light maltiness and not much else. This is a lot ligher and easier to drink than the dunkels I know. Still very anonomous beer all in all.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A fine, tall continental pint bottle with a good label. Clear ruby brown-black, very thin head. Malty, straw-cereal, molasses aroma. Sweet, lightly bittered, sugary at times. The body was flabby and not crisp, medium weight. Next to no finish. Easy to drink, but not entertaining. Killearn Liquors.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Attractive tangibles, such as packaging--a cool in-line four-pack, and good-sized bottles--and it pours well also, with a robust dark appearance and moderate head. The aroma and flavor here is unexceptional, however: toasted rather than roasted, a foundation of malt but no more so than many bocks. Conforms to style in the underwhelming lack of fruitiness or deep hopping. The body is on the thin side. Very drinkable, goes down very quickly. A good session beer in its own way, it complemented my pre-Super Bowl snacks.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice malty balance coupled with slight caramel give this one a very drinkable and smooth-tasting character. Very enjoyable example of the style.
