UPDATED: AUG 17, 2011 Bottle. The aroma here is outstanding. Sharp, fruity, a hint of orange. Very nice. Dark brown colour. Nice fruity flavour, some banana, not too bitter. A little spice on the mouth, then finishes dry and smooth. Excellent stuff.

bottle, dark reddish/brown colour with very nice and foamy white and stable head. Smell: dried fruits, plums, chocolate, roasted malts. Taste: dried fruits, has some ’stoute alike’ taste, black chocolate, coffee. Very complex beer, just great. Very cheap one as well, The beste price-quality beer in the world in my opinion.

A - Spicy, caramel and fruity A - Dark brown and hazy T - Light sweetness with a controlled dry bitter finish P - medium to full with a bit of a harsh carbonation O - Really good...but not the greatness I had hoped

Poured from 330mL bottle a hazy reddish brown color with lasting beige head with fine lacing. Aromas of malt and yeast. Taste is moderately sweet with some bitter notes. A very fine Dubbel ale with moderate body and carbonation.

Incredibly smooth and drinkable, despite higher alcohol content. I just wish I had the proper glass.

The beer pours a hazy brown color with a decent-sized tan head. The aroma is heavy on the raisins and cherries with some nice brown sugar notes. I also get some yeast notes. The flavor is not as fruit as the aroma. I get some raisins and plum notes, but what is more prevalent is the toffee from the malt. The yeast is also present in the flavor. There is some brown sugar flavor but the beer is fairly dry overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A world classic beer that never disappoints.

Bittery goodness. But this one makes me want to try the Tripel. (This beer rating was imported from FB and unfortunately lacks any further comments.)

Dark caramel taste and pours in a nice dark colour. Very sweet and well balanced dark beer, highly enjoyable.
