Reddish brown with a medium head. Aroma is dominated by sugar and yeast, with a little fruit and bread. Taste is sweet, with some caramel toffee flavor, but not overpowering due to the alcohol and carbonation. A really great beer, as expected from the masters of the style.

330ml bottle. Poured a nice reddish brown with a foamy head. The taste is malty with a medium sweetness start and a light bitter finish . Tastes like it is slightly stronger than 7%. Overall, it is a nice Trappist Ale that will not disappoint .

33cl Bottle from Bierzwerg. Appearance is slightly reddish brown color with light, bubbly head - great lacing. Aroma is sugary malts, dried fruit and yeast. Taste is corresponding with sugar, malts, fruit dominant. Flavors move into a doughy yeast on to a smooth, semi-dry finish. Palate is medium-bodied, soft texture, and fizzy carbonation. A classic in the style.

Pours dark brown with foamy head. Chocolate and raisins aroma, with some alcohol. Has a sour taste at the end, with a thick body. One of the best dubbels, I prefer it to St bernardus 8
