The look reminds bok beer. There is no smell. Malty, strong alcoholic taste. Not interesting at all.

11.2 oz bottle from Spirits Red Bank. Poured a slight murky deep dark mahogany with a large thick full foamy biege head that lasts and lasts. Aroma is sweet with notes of uncooked raisin bread, yeast, nuts, sugar, pureed raisin, dark fruit juice. Velvety mouthfeel with a full body and light carbonation. Flavors of yeast, sugar, prune, plum, dates, raisins, nutts, brown bread. This one is interesting and solid and seems more like a quad then a dubbel.

Small bottle. Reddish brown body, beautiful head with fine bubbles. Moderate yeasty aroma with dark fruits. Taste is dry and mellow with some caramel and pear. Finish has light chocolate. Very easy to drink.

Cloudy brown color, with less head than many Belgians. Description of malt and fruit is right on. Alcohol and hops didn’t appear.

Hazy brown pour, lasting creamy tan head keeps going and going. Aroma of raisin, prune, dark candy. Taste = aroma X 2, mild sweetness countered by punch of bitterness. Very fizzy on the tongue, a bit too much for my taste. Much what was expected with more complexity (+) and extra lively carbonation(-). Would definitely drink this again. Interesting!

Aromas of dark fruit, esters, caramel, slight roasty-toasty, brown sugar. Dark red-brown, slight haze, tan-brown lasting head...good lacing. Medium+ sweetness and a touch of bitterness to keep things in check. Medium body and carbonation, cricky texture, nice long malty finish of aforementioned aromas. Solid.

Pours murky deep ruty red with tan head. The aroma is full of dark fruity esters, brown sugar and yeasty spiciness. It smells smooth and silky. The taste isn’t nearly as smooth as the prickly carbonation tends to erupt across my palate delivering notes of brown sugar, sweet prunes, ripe cherries and over ripe peaches. Under the fruitiness is a pleasing level of caramel candy coupled to modest amounts of yeasty spiciness. Solid stuff.

Bottle.A: Reddish brown. In short:caramel, floral, raisin, plums, earthy, alcohol. Medium sweetness with a little bitter aftertaste. Gets better as it warms up, fuller body and more flavor. It´s ok, give it a chance why wont chaaa!!
