Reddish in colour featuring a rich beige head. The aroma is rich in esters, almost malty vanilla and butterscotch and then it enters into a fruity powerhouse. On the palate it is really rich, creamy, balanced and possesses a nice long finish. well carbonated and slightly bitter and very very pleasing taste this brew is one of my all time favs.

Sweety nose and deep brown colour. A slick texture and a very creamy white head for this delicious Trappist beer. Aromas of coffee, wood, caramel and roasted malts. Lively carbonation, light bitter and medium sweet. Tasty, spicy and strong beer, even if not the best Trappist.

malty, bready aroma, but not that strong or pleasing. Brown appearance with a big tall, rocky dark tan head. Could taste the malt with some fruity sweetness. Lively carbonation, medium body. Overall good but not great

11.2 oz bottle, pours dark reddish brown with a towering beige head. Subtle aroma of caramel malts, brown sugar and dry red wine. Flavour of caramel malts, fruity notes and that dry red wine-ish quality. Quite good, though below expectations.

Bottle: Light brown to off white foamy head on top of a brown beer. Smell some toasted/roasted malts, brown sugars, darker fruits like prunes. Taste is a pretty fine mix of: sweet and sugary malty, fruits, hops, malts, hints of chocolate, bitter, grassy, spices and wheat.
