The aroma caught me the second I popped the cap. Rich, malty, inviting. Surprisingly carbonation leading into a creamy texture. Butterscotch, bread, and a little bit of yeasty funk. Spicy hops linger in a slightly bitter finish.
Outstanding. Go get it!

Bottle 33 CL. Pours murky brown with small brown lacing head. Notes of great Belgium yeasts, so smooth, sweet malts, syrup. Just great stuff. Not that complex but the tastes it does have is just awesome.

One of the very best in the world, period--superbly balanced malt, fruit-forward hops, alcohol, everything--a work of art in caramelized form.

Aroma is malty and somewhat banoffee. Appears almost completely opaque yet not so dark, squirrel red. Deep brown taste with a thickly textured mouthfeel. Bittersweet flavour at the back of the mouth. An enjoyable experience.

Bottle from Waitrose. Wagon Wheels used to be the same size as wagon wheels. You canít get a Texan bar any more. Or a Cabana. Life can be a succession of minor, but pertinent, disappointments.

Bottle, poured into tulip glass. Pours dark brown with red notes, white-tan head which resembles Swiss cheese when receding (very rocky, lots of holes). OK lacing. Strong aromas here: caramel, dried fruits, gentle spice, alcohol - itís a bit like brandy. Flavours are similar - very sweet, but still balanced. Robust mouthfeel. Lovely beer.
