UPDATED: FEB 8, 2013 Deep ruby red basically brown without a light with a thick lasting creamy lacy beige head. Spicy caramel toasted malt and lots of berries - raisins and prunes. The body is creamy and smooth.with soft carbonation. Lots of complexity here. Raisins, prune with some dates. Clear alcohol present but in an older bottle its hardly noticable. Two bottles - before May 22nd 2014 and january 25 2012 so its 5 months old and three years old. 5months - It started out a bit hard to drink but after a while it became amazing. I had some cheese which brought out the flavours. Malt and fruit lingers in the mouth. I’m excited to try it again, properly aged and stored. 3 years. So smooth and easy to drink, lots of deep dark malt.

Banana-bready, sweet, a little chocolatey. Touch of booze but a nice dry finish given the sweetness midpalate. Reminds me of the banana chocolate chip protein muffin things from Trader Joes, in a good way.

Bottle at Winking Lizard Crosswoods on 4/12/14. Hazy brown pour with a huge tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, dark fruit and slight banana esters. Malty and spicy flavor giving way to caramel and cherry before a dark fruit and slight alcohol finish.

Poured from a bottle, forming a tall head. Pleasantly sour at the start but it weakened a bit as I worked my way to the bottom. Considering the high 99 rating, I expected more from this beer. It was good; it was not great.

Bottle at Pie Whole. Dark brown pour with an off white head. Banana and clove aromas. Effervescent. A weird sort of bitter off taste dominates the caramel, brown sugar, banana, and clove. Average body and mouthfeel.

0,33 l bottle with a nice design and simple but good looking label art. Dark brwon, nearly black in the glass, huge head. Fruits and nuts on the nose. Starts smooth fruity, warming light alcoholic. Low herb. Fizzy, low sourness. Easy to drink. Good one.

A - Deep brown, orangey hue with a thick, chunky head that lingers. S- Plum, raisin, fig, brown sugar. T- Plum and raisin up front with a yeasty finish. Slight bitterness. M- Thin-medium bodied and very effervescent. D- This is a great brew. I think if it were a little thicker and had less carbonation it would have scored even higher for me. I’m sure the carbonation fades with time. Will stick a couple bottles in the cellar and forget about them for 5 years ...
