Brown/red beer, really big bone-white head which left some good lacing. Spicy aroma, fruits, nuts, caramel. Taste is earthy and a little bit sweet. Almost no bitterness.

On a flight of beer at Meisterstück. Intense banana and other fruity sweetness, some clover, full-bodied, but still dry and crisp. Surprisingly dark color, beautiful foam.

Bottle, 33cl at home. Pours dark brown to reddish with a large tan head. Aromas include peach, apricot, just a tiny hint of caramel. Very nice lacing. The flavours intensify the caramel, perfectly balanced with fruits (including raisins and banana now) and with a very rounded malt in the finish. Some citrus comes in too but is mainly secondary. Extremely exquisite. With the yeast, a ginger-like zest comes in. Not too sweet at all, really well developed flavours. Long finish, medium to high carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Balances fruitiness with its natural dryness: good combination, well blended! Definitely a Dubbel worth trying. Hats off to this beer.

7%ABV. Dubbel. Poured out of the bottle a black brown. 40ºSRM. Nose has some nice date sweetness to it. There is almost a soda pop citrus sweetness to the nose that is no doubt the product of the carbonation. The strongest aroma profile is that of 7-up.. There is a candy sweet aroma that is like a hard candy. Mouthfeel is aggressively carbonated and there is a sweet burnt sugar profile that is sweet, and slightly smoky . Almost like the crust on a creme brulee. Could be described as caramel, but it also has a herbal, slightly grassy flavor to it, which lends the flavor to comparison with a local drink of "grass jelly" or "chin chow". Finish is abbreviated and beery. This is a traditional product, again, you either like it or you don’t and it won’t matter one bit since it’ll just continue to be brewed with the attention that it has in the same manner since forever. A very good example of the style. Goes on Favorites List!

Mörkbrun färg med kaffefärgat skum. Doft av dadlar och torkade russin. Fruktkaka i smaken. Lång och värmande eftersmak.

Kolor ciemno brązowy, mętny. Wysycenie spore. Piana intensywna, ale szybko opada. Zapach drożdżowo-owocowy. Smak korzenny, drożdżowy, trochę akloholowy.

11.2 oz. bottle. Brown with nice tan head. Lots of carbonation on pour. Aroma of sweet malt, dark fruit; has almost a wine-like scent. Taste: slightly sweet, not much bitterness, some yeast, alcohol, and malt. Nice overall balance.

Dark brown/amber color with big brown head. Smell of raisins. Aroma of raisins and yeast. Taste is sweet with alcohol presence. I expected more complex aroma. That strong alcohol presence ruins it.
