3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark brown colour with small lasting head. Aroma is fruity yeasters, mostly pear, dried fruits and som malty notes. Taste is the same, but dominated by the malt. A good dubbel, but not the best....

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,33l bottle out of Craftbeer Calendar. I hate it when a beer foams over on opening the bottle....Anyhow, the beer is malty, accompanied by a nice fruitiness and followed by a lightly bitter finish. Well-balanced, the alcohol is not noticeable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dubbel muy buena. Tiene un poco más de gas de lo habitual. Cuerpo medio. Al final deja un sabor a caramelo.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Helder donkerbruin bier met matig schuim. Weinig aroma. Ietsje tintelend in de mond met een vleugje zoethout. Smaak ebt snel weg.

Tasted from the pint bottle. Nice head that lasted a long time. Dark bronze color. Nose was caramel, malt and hops plus a little fruity. Rich full mouth feel. Delicious malt, hops and caramel flavor. Enjoyed a lot!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice frothiness to it. A very dry taste with a treacle finish. Its a little too carbonated for me but pretty decent. Sharp with just the right amount of sweetness. Good dubbel.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another superior Trappist beer! This dubbel poured an amber brown color with minimal haziness and a thin white head, featuring a strong fresh aroma of caramel malt and fruity notes of sweet raisin and fig. The flavor likewise was predominantly an excellent rich bready maltiness, with various expressions of tropical yeast accents. Distinct notes of honey without any sugary sweetness. Although the beer itself didn't seem overly carbonated, there was a distinct fizziness to the palate which detracted from the flavor. Still had a pleasant and fresh presence to it, unlike the more rustic musty notes that seem common to abbey ales. Finished with a refined toasted malt bitterness. Quite an enjoyable culinary experience!

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Served in a tulip glass from a bottle. Pours a deep ruby-brown colour with thick slowly diminishing tan head, leaving medium lacing behind. Aroma is vinous with notes of banana, honey, alcohol, bread, yeast and malts. Taste is also vinous with bready and malty notes, the alcoholic notes are very clear all the way through. Very well balanced beer with medium body and low carbonation. Unfortunately, the distinctive presence of alcohol from start to finish has somewhat ruined it for me.
