bottle - Pours dark brown with a two finger head. It has a caramel malt and yeast aroma. I was also picking up a little chocolate and dark fruit. The flavor is sweet with the caramel malts leading hte way and some dark fruit notes. Medium bodied, it has a mild finish.

Pours a brown/dark mahogany beer with a dense offwhite head. The aroma is caramel and hops. The flavor is malt, sweetness and fruits. The palate is sweet. Overall a very good beer.

This is quite a beautiful pour, a deep ruby color, with a big two finger head, that fades slightly but still retains a nice foamy ring. The aroma is very fruity and yeasty, full of berries and cherries. You can definitely smell the candi and bubblegum aromas. The taste is slightly less than complex on first taste, very leathery, with some licorice and brown sugar. Very bready through and through. A solid beer, but slightly disappointing.

Robust vinous aroma with dried fruits, roasted malts, and hints of chocolate, and banana yeasts. Cloudy orange and amber colors with a delicate light tan head. Yeasty, slightly sour and astringent. Dry. Has milky flavors. Lots of milk? Some roasted notes. Improves as it warms.

The beer pours a hazy brown color with a decent-sized tan head. The aroma is heavy on the raisins and cherries with some nice brown sugar notes. I also get some yeast notes. The flavor is not as fruit as the aroma. I get some raisins and plum notes, but what is more prevalent is the toffee from the malt. The yeast is also present in the flavor. There is some brown sugar flavor but the beer is fairly dry overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A world classic beer that never disappoints.

Westmalle dubbel. Goblet poured at akkurat... Pours a mostly opaque caramel mahogany pour with a fluffy cloudy white head... Aroma consists of dark fruits (raisins and dates) with some brown sugar malty aspects with some caramel thrown in for good measure... Flavors are sweet, malty with a big emphasis in dark fruits and a brown sugary balance. Smooth medium body, sweeter through the middle and tailend while finishing on a slight bitter note. Complementing and quite nice for the style. 7/4/7/4/15

Draught, at Rover. Dark brown with light brown head, nice lacings. Unfiltered. Aroma and flavor of malt (roated, resin and caramel) and hops (flowers and pine). Well balanced. Great beer.
