brown reddish color with a brown head. smells yeasty, malty, and fruity. taste is all the same that you can pick up from smelling it. surprisingly very good, and gets better as the glass nears the bottom. 500+ ratings cant be wrong. good beer, try it if you see it.

Pours a nice reddish mahog color. Small white poofy head and has a nose of fruit and yeast. Tastes a little like buble gum and goes down smooth with aftertaste of fruit and spice. Good but not my favorite.

Pours a dark brown, slightly plum-like color with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma is malty with hints of chocolate, caramel, sugar cane, dark fruit and alcohol. Hoppy up front with a good amount of carbonation, chocolate maltiness, candi sugar and figs with a slightly sour and bitter hop finish.

Burgundy. Deep, complex, seemingly endless nose of mixed berries, cherries, chocolate, caramel and mixed nuts. Slightly cloying, deep fruity flavor with notes of plums, cherries and other dark fruits. This is lacking flavor begind the sweet dark fruitiness but more so, this is lacking depth and body.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, deep chestnut brown with a creamy off-white head that lingers fairly well. Complex aroma is yeast and brown sugar with hints of molasses, mocha and alcohol. Flavor is sweet with sour fruit notes, spice and hop bitterness in the finish and peppery aftertaste. Medium to full body with mild carbonation. Very nice ale.

Pours a dark brown with reddish hues. Deep maroon, with a small, but well retained light tan head. Lots od dark fruits, dark malts, and candy sugar in the aroma. Very sweet smelling. The taste is big and bold, really sweet and fruity. Dark berries, malts, other dark fruits, some candy sugar, and a slight bitterness in the finish. Seems to be aloit going on here. The aftertaste has a hint of alcohol, but fruity on the palate. Nice brew. Good representation of this style in my opinion.

A dark with a tan persistent head. Herbal like tequila, toffee, hints of bubblegum. Back is softened hops and the feel is very nice creamy laced with alcohol heat. It’s on the drier side of abbey ales and that’s a very good thing.
