UPDATED: AUG 17, 2011 Bottle. The aroma here is outstanding. Sharp, fruity, a hint of orange. Very nice. Dark brown colour. Nice fruity flavour, some banana, not too bitter. A little spice on the mouth, then finishes dry and smooth. Excellent stuff.

33cl Bottle. Poured into Westmalle chalice, nice apperance, deep red with off white head which slowly diminishes and laces the glass as you drink. Aroma of bread and caramel with some yeasty notes. Flavour starts sweet with some raisin and caramel, ends slightly bitter. Alcohol well disguised. Nice on the palate. A great dubbel.

Bottle at The Caley, served in the chalice which was a nice touch. Pours a brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, raisins, plums and alcohol. Similar flavours with alcohol fairly present. Moderate carbonation and a chewy mouth-feel. Tasty.

Stone fruits and caramels are very apparent. Beautiful brown and red color. Raisins and chocolate are there at the finish. Creamy and lively with carbonation that is there but not overbearing.
