really nice dark brown color with a tanish head....and tons of dark fruit flavor and more red fruit on the nose than lots of other dubbles....use to be my favorite...now I must say I like the rochford 6 the most

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown/red color with a lot of tan head. Berry aroma and yeasty, Taste is similar with a slight metalic finishing taste.

Pretty good. The bottle I had was none too spectacular however. Just a good, full-bodied dubbel, nothing you couldn’t find in a regular old Duvel though.

Hazy dark red colour with plenty of lathing tan head. Red fruits or berries in aroma, some metal. Taste is pretty much similar, a bit high on alcohol taste and high acidity.

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink Trappist, yet complex, cloudy, nearly no head, good brew

On tap at Cafe Trappisten, Westmalle. A beautifull dark brown beer is poured in the Westmalle trappist glass. Thick beige head. Dark fruits and chocolate in the aroma. Hints of yeast. Flavour is dark fruits, bread, prunes and a good malty sweetness.
