A reddish brown body comes out topped by a light beige cloudy head that last. Dense beverage combining chocolate, yeast and banana aromas. Malty start with fruity and yeasty hints. Watery middle taste with spicy and hoppy finish. Fair bitterness. Sparkling. A bit disappointing. Was hopping for a more finished and complex product. Something more racy. We’re very far from Rochefort delightful ale..

Cloudy dark brown color, medium sized off-white head. Bubblegum, caramel, dark fruits and brown sugar aroma. Medium to heavy sweetness. Thin to medium body, a bit watery. Average sweet Belgian stuff, nothing but overrated. I have expected so much more.

Brown color with a nice thin head. Nice and complex aroma of banana, wood, chocolate, fruit cake. Taste is first sweet then more and more bitter especially in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Although taste is not as full as the aroma, it is probably one of the best belgian brown beer with such a "low" ABV. A classic.

Poured from bottle. First impression of aroma is green apple with hints of vanilla and banana. Pours a dark brown with tan head. Medium bitter taste. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, with a bitter finish. Very nice Dubbel.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours dark brown with a foamy, beige head. Coffee, toffee, malty, fruity easters aroma. Nice, sticky, rich flavour with caramel, coffee, toffee, fig, plums, raisin, creaminess to the mouth-feel. Dry and bitter logn finish. Balanced and nothing bad to say. Perhaps.. Nope, just good Belgian ale.

Reddish brown with nice tan head. Full roast aroma very pleasant, and a backbone of cedar. The dried fruit flavors set this apart from all other inferior brews. Very rich coating mouthfeel. Awesome brew.

Bottle pours dark brown with light ruby red edges. Nose is dark bready fruit and multi grain, wheat, nutty cola, fig, plum. Taste is similar with nice creaminess to the mouthfeel, nice finish of dark fruits, cola, mixed dark nuts and whole grain dark bread.

Bottle, Le Vieux Saint-Josse, Brussels. One of my early favourites among the Trappist bears and Belgian ales more generally. Although I moved on since, this is still a very nice double. Reddish brown, beige head, dominated by roasted malts, cloves, wood. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
