Nov 21, 2009 12 oz bottle from the Four Firkins. Cloudy yellow/orange pour with a nice fluffy head. Aroma is of wheat, yeast a bit of spice and the flavor is the same. The finish has a nice spice to it as well. My second ever trappist beer and I think I like it!

Nov 20, 2009 Aroma of dough, leaves, alcohol, and clove. Poured a cloud, unfiltered pale golden color with amazing head. Primary tastes of alcohol, but notes of citrus persisted. Slick medium body texture, with a fizzy carbonation. Overall this is a great trappist tripel that you should try (alliteration unintended). Cheers to the monks!

Nov 16, 2009 Bottle 33cl. Beautiful hazy blonde in color. Pours a full lhead. Smells and tastes very lively: Yeasts and malts with light spices. A very refreshing beer. Westmalle just makes great beer on every level in my book.

Nov 15, 2009 Versata sul bicchiere a calice della westmalle, questa tripel d’abbazia ha tutta la sua eleganza. Schiuma fina ma molto persistente, un bel colore d’orato con sfumature sul rame, e un torbidezza che non lascia filtrare nessuna luce.. come si suol dire, anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte.
Un aroma non troppo forte, di banana; al gusto è dolce e fruttata. Si sente molto l’alcol e un sentore di acido sul finale.
Piacevole, senz’altro.

Nov 14, 2009 Hazy golden blonde beer with beautiful white mousse. Aroma is pepper, yeast and malts, but also bread. taste is delicious and on the dry side. its has very good hop bitters and a perfect aftertaste.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle, 33cl. A blonde beer with a beautiful lacing, light unstable head that lasts, some bubbles. Malty, light hoppy and spicy aroma. Smell is also malty, some spices, with some hops on the background and a light bitter and dry finish. Heavy body. Very nice trappist beer!

Nov 9, 2009 Pale orange coloured, slightly hazy. Pours very lively with big airy head. Flowery yeasty aroma. Sugary, sweetish nose, funky mouthfeel, alcohol-peppery bitterish finish. Leaves a lingering candy sugar flavour in your mouth. Good.

Nov 8, 2009 bottle. Poured hazy, straw coloured with an extra large rocky white head. Active carbonation visable. Aroma is spicy clove and yeast. Alcohol hits you at first sip. Medium bodied, warming mouthfeel. Flavour is peppery, grapefruit peel, perfumey. Finishes lightly dry. I just can’t bring myself to like this style of beer and over rate them like so many beer drinkers do, but I did finish the bottle.
