Poured golden with PLENTY of head and a lot of haze. Definitely bottle conditioned. Smelled delicious with hops, some floral and yeast. Taste was similar with a strong yeast and malt flavor with a hoppy finish that wasn’t bitter.

Pours a hazy golden. Fizzy white head. Good lacing. Hay, fruity aroma. Sweet, tart taste. Thin mouth feel, fizzy, bitter, alcoholic.

The beer pours a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma is fruity. I get a lot of orange and lemon notes as well as some floral notes. There is some grass from the hops as well as some Belgian yeast and a little bit of candy sugar. The flavor is heavy on the yeast and orange citrus notes. I also get some sweetness from the candy sugar and a little bit of pepper and coriander. There is a little bit of alcohol detectable. The beer is very easy to drink. Thin to medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A world classic.

AROMA: caramel and flowers, yeasty esters, touch of bubblegum APPEARANCE: hazy straw colour, head was thin but lasting, lacing was moderate; TASTE: sweet with a bitter finish PALATE: medium body, longish finish, slightly creamy, moderate carbonation; OVERALL: good example of the best of the style

Clear orange body with a creamy white head that last. Aroma of coriander, pepper, lemon and bubblegum. High yeast presence. Spicy hop, coriander and pepper are well mixed in this well balanced beer. Admirable complexity and subtleties. Sweet mouth feel with cassonade and fruity esters end. Houlala!

Pours hazy straw with copious white head. Tinge of acidic citrus, alcohol, bready, yeast, mild spice. Sweet Belgian malt, acidity, candy, bread/dough, and citrus. A little more of an alcohol bite than expected. Dry, acidic finish.

750ml bottle. Pours a pale golden color that is very hazy with a thick off white head that starts strong and lasts throughout, leaving a heavy dose of lace. Has a spicy and fruity nose with lots of banana and clove. Taste has lots of banana, clove, and sweet malt character that are balanced nicely. The alcohol asserts itself in the flavor, but doesn’t take over and finishes spicy and aggressive with a warming on the palate, along with a light yeasty flavor. On the thinner side of medium bodied with a crisp, dry mouthfeel.
